My story

I received divine direction to practice and teach Yoga long ago. I joined classes to practice and eventually trained as a Yoga Teacher at Yoga Niketan, M S University of Baroda, Gujarat, India, in 2005. Soon after, I migrated to Toronto, Canada, and faced survival struggles in a new country for a few years. Despite my inner voice urging me to start practicing yoga, my practical intelligence (Buddhi) directed me towards other jobs, resulting in irregular yoga asana practice.

In 2017, I had a pivotal moment and started practicing yoga. However, from 2005 to 2017, I developed Cervical Spondylitis, which prevented me from practicing many yoga asanas (poses). I experienced severe effects of cervical spondylitis on the left side of my neck and forearm, with continuous muscle and nerve pain increasing every day. There was a time when I was afraid to lift my left hand for work.

Unfortunately, medical tests and reports couldn't diagnose my problem as cervical spondylitis for almost 10 years. Luckily, I sought the help of a Homeopathy doctor who diagnosed it without relying on reports and helped reduce the extreme numbing and tingling pain. Alongside homeopathy, I discovered energy medicine techniques, which quickly and effectively reduced my pain and balanced my body's energies.

Additionally, I already had arthritis in my wrists and knees, and I genuinely feared becoming handicapped and burdening my family. However, understanding the strong connection between mind and body, I gradually emerged from that negative state of mind and started regular meditations and yoga practice. Deep down, I knew that practicing and sharing yoga was my calling. With a strong intention to heal myself and regain strength, I resigned from my job and fully immersed myself in practice. I attended Teachers' training in Brampton, Canada.

Since October 2019, I have been practicing and teaching Yoga virtually. Previously, on a pain scale of 1-10, my pain exceeded 10. However, thanks to my strong intention, regular yoga, and meditation practice, I have remained mostly pain-free. I have learned to manage and prevent pain, and today, I am free from that continuous nagging pain.

My goal is to help my students develop self-awareness, a muscular physique, balanced emotions, intelligence, and spirituality. Furthermore, I have a particular desire to help those suffering from joint pains, such as arthritis or any other similar conditions. My pain journey has provided me with knowledge, experience, and a humble urge to assist others in similar circumstances.

I firmly believe that anyone can practice and achieve a happy, joyous state of mind and a painless or reduced-pain body through the practice of Yogasanas (poses), Pranayama (breathing techniques), Yoga Nidra (relaxation), Dhyana (meditation), Japa (mantra chanting), and the study of Yoga Sutras (knowledge of yoga compiled by Maharshi Patanjali). I warmly welcome and encourage you to begin your journey of healing and strength.
